The Yungaburra Hotel, also known as the Lake Eacham Hotel, is a historic landmark on the Atherton Tablelands, built in 1910 when the railway reached the area. Its Federation-style design features a striking timber exterior and interiors made from local cedar and oak, reflecting the region’s sawmilling heritage.
In the 1920s, the hotel expanded with an Art Deco addition, growing alongside the region. Today, it offers bars, a restaurant, function spaces, and a relaxed garden setting, continuing its role as a popular meeting place for locals and visitors.
Located in the heart of Yungaburra, the hotel is surrounded by rainforest, crater lakes, and scenic drives. With its cooler climate and rich character, it remains a much-loved destination on the Tablelands.
